Sports Hall Doors

Sports Hall Doors Built to Withstand Impact
Maintenance-Free Aluminium Sports Hall Doorsets with Specialist Rebound Plates designed to comply with Sport England guidelines
Sports halls present unique challenges for doorsets. Repeated impact from footballs, basketballs, hockey balls and other sports equipment can quickly damage conventional doors, leading to costly repairs, ongoing maintenance and premature replacement.
TS Designs PA1 Sports Hall Doorsets have been specifically developed to provide a durable, long-term solution for schools, colleges, universities, leisure centres and community sports facilities. Combining our proven PA1 aluminium doorset with specially designed rebound plates, they deliver exceptional durability, improved safety and reduced whole-life costs.
Designed Specifically for Sports Halls
Unlike standard doorsets, the PA1 Sports Hall Doorset incorporates a purpose-designed rebound plate system engineered to withstand accidental impact from sports equipment and people while protecting the door hardware behind.
Manufactured from heavy-duty 3mm aluminium, the rebound plates feature internal reinforcement structures to help prevent deformation from repeated impact. They are designed to provide full protection to panic hardware and can be manufactured to suit uneven surfaces, ensuring they are flush with internal walls to protect against harm to people if they collide with the door.
Panic bars are recessed to prevent accidental activation by impact from sports equipment and people.
Designed in line with Sport England guidance, the rebound plate system helps create a safer and more durable sports environment while extending the lifespan of the doorset.
Built for Long-Term Performance
Traditional timber and steel sports hall doors can become damaged through repeated impact, resulting in denting, warping, corrosion, repainting requirements and ongoing maintenance costs.
The TS Designs PA1 Sports Hall Doorset eliminates these concerns.
Manufactured from heavy-duty aluminium, our doors:
- Will not rust, rot or warp
- Require no ongoing maintenance
- Resist damage from demanding sports environments
- Deliver long-term reliability
- Reduce repair and replacement costs
- Provide a virtually limitless lifespan
- Are backed by a 20-year warranty
The result is a true fit-and-forget solution designed to perform for the lifetime of the building.
